Young Kim, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 40th district, shared a series of tweets addressing pressing issues. On November 21, 2024, she highlighted her legislative efforts to bolster community resilience against natural disasters and counter North Korean aggression. Additionally, she discussed initiatives aimed at alleviating housing costs for the homeless.

On November 21, 2024, Young Kim expressed her support for measures to enhance community preparedness and recovery from extreme weather events such as wildfires and landslides. She stated, "Our communities need to be able to prepare for & rebuild after extreme weather events, such as wildfires & landslides." Kim mentioned her collaboration with Rep. Jason Crow on the CLEAR Act aimed at meeting local needs and promoting disaster resiliency.

Later that day, Kim addressed international security concerns involving North Korea. She tweeted about North Korean leader Kim Jong Un's nuclear activities and human rights violations: "Kim Jong Un is growing his nuclear arsenal, forging an Unholy Alliance, & oppressing his own people every day through torture, starvation, imprisonment, & forced labor." She announced the passage of a bipartisan bill designed to counteract North Korean aggression.

On November 22, 2024, Young Kim turned her attention to domestic issues related to homelessness and housing costs. In a tweet she remarked on rising housing expenses exacerbating challenges for the homeless population: "Rising housing costs are only making life harder for those who are homeless." Kim highlighted her leadership role in a bipartisan initiative focused on providing support for affected communities.
