Washington – Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) released a statement following the conviction of Hunter Biden, describing it as "a stark reminder of the culture of corruption that threatens to engulf not only the Biden presidency – but his Department of Justice as well."

Issa asserted, "The truth is the Biden DOJ for years sought not to deliver justice but figure out a way to have Hunter Biden avoid it. Recall that the Biden DOJ never wanted to try this case, allowed far more serious charges to lapse, and attempted an unprecedented sweetheart plea deal that would have immunized Hunter Biden from both past crimes and future wrongdoing. Fortunately, an alert judge stopped this outrageous deal and a Delaware jury has rendered its unanimous verdict."

He concluded by stating, "The day of accountability for Biden’s corruption – and that of the leadership of his Department of Justice – is closer than ever."
