On April 19, 2025, Kim commemorated the Battles of Lexington and Concord, marking the beginning of the American Revolution on April 19, 1775. She emphasized the significance of the event and reflected on the nation’s progress with a tribute to the bravery of soldiers. “The Battles of Lexington and Concord began on April 19, 1775, igniting the American Revolution. We remember our soldiers’ bravery and how far we have come 250 years since the “shot heard ‘round the world.” “

Later the same day, Kim tweeted about her recent engagement with Southern Californians in the building and construction trades during their visit to Washington, D.C., for the North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) conference. “Great discussing policy issues with Southern Californians in building and construction trades while they were in DC for their @NABTU conference last week.”
