On April 30, 2025, Kim expressed appreciation for @CalOptima’s insights as Congress deliberates on a budget reconciliation package that aims to put the fiscal policy on a more stable path. She emphasized, “I appreciate @CalOptima’s insight as Congress works on a budget reconciliation package that gets us back on the right fiscal track & strengthens programs like Medicaid that many in our community rely on.” She made her stance clear on the issue, stating, “A bill that cuts vital Medicaid benefits will NOT receive my vote.“
On May 1, 2025, Kim announced the success of her bipartisan bill designed to enhance cost transparency for families amid financial challenges. She remarked, “As families struggle to make ends meet, deceptive fees only add more pain. Later on May 1, Kim celebrated Asian Pacific American (APA) Heritage Month, highlighting the contributions of Asian Americans in her district and beyond. She posted, “Happy APA Heritage Month! This month we celebrate the many Asian Americans in CA-40 and across the country who are improving our communities for future generations.“
Young Kim has served in Congress since 2021, bringing her experience from serving in the California State Assembly, and she resides in La Habra. She completed her education at the University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1985.
