On April 23, 2025, Kim issued a reminder regarding travel requirements “Traveling this summer? Be sure to check your passport & ID! REAL IDs will be required for all domestic travel & to enter federal facilities starting May 7.” She provided links for further information on passports and REAL IDs.

A day later, on April 24, 2025, she highlighted her work in Congress, stating “My team and I are working around the clock to fight for our community. I’m thrilled that my record is the most effective of federal lawmakers from California and among the top 10 in the House.” She emphasized her intention to continue her efforts.

In another tweet on April 24, 2025, Kim commemorated a tragic historical event, saying “Today we honor the 1.5 million lives lost during the Armenian Genocide in 1915, stand with our Armenian community, & recommit to sharing these stories so never again means never again.” She expressed her pride in representing the Armenian American community in her district.

Young Kim has served in the U.S. Congress since defeating Gil Cisneros in 2021 and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea, she has roots in La Habra and holds a BBA from the University of Southern California.
