Young Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 40th district, has been actively engaging with her constituents and participating in key congressional activities. Her recent tweets highlight her commitment to community issues and national interests.

On May 14, 2025, Young Kim shared that she “hosted a roundtable with local small business owners and @NFIB_CA to hear their thoughts on lowering taxes and the impact of tariffs on their businesses as the U.S. works toward fair trade partnerships.” She emphasized that “fighting for my community is my top priority.”

Later that day, Kim announced an upcoming event via Twitter: “HAPPENING SOON Looking forward to today’s @HouseForeignGOP East Asia & Pacific Subcommittee hearing on how our federal government can better support our economic security & national security.” The hearing was scheduled for 10 am ET / 7 am PT.

In another tweet posted on May 14, Kim addressed concerns about banking services: “Reduced access to banking services can lead to less small business lending & higher costs for consumers.” She questioned regulators during a @FinancialCmte hearing about their impact on community banks.

Young Kim has served in the U.S. Congress since replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021. Before this role, she was part of the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962, she currently resides in La Habra and holds a BBA from the University of Southern California.
