Former San Juan Hills High School star Dane Grant’s UC Irvine Anteaters suffered a 9-2 loss to the Cal State Northridge Matadors in their NCAA Division I game at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 8.
The contest was held at Cicerone Field at Anteater Ballpark and marked the teams’ third meeting of the season. UC Irvine had claimed a 4-2 victory in their previous matchup on Saturday, March 7.
Grant surrendered one earned run in 0.1 innings pitched.
The Anteaters are set to play their next game on Tuesday, March 10, at 6 p.m. at Jackie Robinson Stadium, facing the UCLA Bruins.
