The Trinity Tigers, led by former Santa Margarita Catholic High School athlete Joey Hagen, were defeated 24-9 by the Tufts Jumbos in an NCAA Division III baseball contest held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 15.
Trinity Baseball Field was the venue for this game, marking the teams’ second meeting this season. In their previous faceoff on Saturday, March 14, the Tigers earned a 6-5 victory over the Jumbos.
Hagen pitched one inning, giving up eight earned runs along with recording two walks and a strikeout.
The Tigers’ next contest against the Tufts Jumbos is set for Monday, March 16, at 7 p.m. at Trinity Baseball Field.
