Fatal hit-and-run prompts search for suspect in Stanton

On June 22, at around 8:30 p.m., the Orange County Sheriff's Department responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision in Stanton, California. The incident occurred near Katella Avenue and Date Street. The pedestrian involved was identified as Jeffrey DeLaRosa, a 66-year-old transient. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries from the collision.

The driver involved in the incident fled the scene and remains unidentified. Authorities describe the vehicle as a white Nissan Rogue, model years between 2007 and 2015, with noticeable front-end damage. It was last observed traveling eastbound on Katella Avenue toward Beach Boulevard.
