On Sunday, March 2, former JSerra Catholic High School standout Jonathan Mendez’s current college team, the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos, lost 2-1 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Fresno State Bulldogs.

The game took place at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium. This was their third matchup against the Bulldogs this season.

The Gauchos’ next game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4 at 6 p.m. at Dedeaux Field against USC Trojans.
