Young Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 40th district, shared her thoughts on recent events through a series of tweets on May 18, 2025.

In a tweet posted at 18:13 UTC, Kim expressed her dismay over an attack on a fertility clinic. She stated, "Violence targeting a fertility clinic is unconscionable. Relieved to know that no innocent lives were taken due to this horrendous act." She extended her sympathies to those affected in the Palm Springs community and mentioned that law enforcement is investigating the incident.

Later that day, at 21:22 UTC, Kim welcomed visitors from California’s 40th district to Washington D.C., saying, "Great to see former Orange City Councilmember Michael Alvarez & Emily Alvarez in our DC office!" She encouraged constituents visiting from CA-40 to reach out for a tour of the office.

In another tweet at 22:40 UTC, Kim conveyed her concern regarding President Biden's health status. She wrote, "I am saddened to learn of President Biden’s diagnosis. Praying for him and his loved ones and hoping for successful treatment."

Young Kim has been serving in Congress since replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and residing in La Habra, she holds a BBA from the University of Southern California.
