Young Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 40th district, has been active on social media discussing several key issues. Kim, who replaced Gil Cisneros in 2021 and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016, uses her platform to inform constituents about policy discussions and community events.

On May 6, 2025, Young Kim shared insights from a recent hearing by the House Foreign Affairs Committee. She stated, "I asked at last week’s @HouseForeignGOP hearing if U.S. Agency for Global Media platforms should be put under the State Department or designated as federal grantees." She emphasized that while reforms are necessary, these platforms remain crucial national security tools.

In another post on May 6, Kim reminded travelers about upcoming changes to flight requirements. She announced, " A #REALID will be required to board domestic flights starting tomorrow." This notice directs individuals to resources for becoming #REALIDready.

Additionally, Young Kim informed her constituents about an opportunity for assistance with federal casework. On May 6, she mentioned, "My team will be at the Chino Hills City Clerk’s Office for Weekly Mobile Office Hours tomorrow." This initiative aims to provide support directly within the community.

Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and residing in La Habra, Young Kim graduated from the University of Southern California with a BBA in 1985. Her career reflects a commitment to public service both at state and national levels.
