Young Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 40th district, recently shared updates on social media concerning her activities and legislative efforts. In another post on the same day, she expressed concerns about Taiwan's international standing: "Beijing continues to do all it can to isolate Taiwan from the outside world and silence Taiwan’s voice on the world stage." She further noted her satisfaction with bipartisan efforts in the House of Representatives by passing the Taiwan International Solidarity Act, which she co-authored with Congressman Gerry Connolly.

Later that day, Kim shared a community update regarding housing developments in Orange County: "Team Young was glad to help welcome Katella Terrace Apartments to Orange!" The development includes 74 affordable housing units aimed at serving local seniors.

Young Kim has been serving in Congress since replacing Gil Cisneros in 2021. Before her congressional role, she served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. Born in Incheon, South Korea in 1962 and currently residing in La Habra, she holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California.
