Young Kim, 60, was born in Incheon, South Korea. She has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 40th District since 2021 after replacing previous member Gil Cisneros. She previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016 and resides in La Habra. Kim is an alumna of the University of Southern California, where she completed her BBA in 1985.
