Young Kim, a representative in the U.S. Congress for California’s 40th district, has shared recent updates regarding community developments and security measures in her area. Her engagement and communication reflect her ongoing commitment to her constituents.

On May 1, Kim announced the opening of Moana Nui, a new Polynesian dance and entertainment venue located in Orange, California. She described it as a place that will offer classes in "Hula, Tahitian, Drumming, & Ukulele" for a wide range of age groups, stating "Moana Nui is a new Polynesian dance and entertainment venue in Orange that features Hula, Tahitian, Drumming, & Ukulele classes for keiki ages 5 to adults 70+! Welcome to our community!".

On May 2, Kim addressed efforts to combat scams affecting U.S. citizens, mentioning specific actions targeting Huione Group's romance scams. She expressed satisfaction with the steps taken by financial authorities: "Countering Huione Group's romance scams targeting Americans is something I've been working to address as a member of @FinancialCmte's National Security Subcommittee. Young Kim, 60, was born in Incheon, South Korea. She has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 40th District since 2021 after replacing previous member Gil Cisneros. She previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016 and resides in La Habra. Kim is an alumna of the University of Southern California, where she completed her BBA in 1985.
