Young Kim, a U.S. Congress member representing California's 40th District since 2021, shared recent updates on her social media profile. Her posts provide insights into her legislative actions as well as participation in community activities and diplomatic discussions.

On April 29, 2025, Kim publicly noted her support for a legislative initiative, stating "Last night, the House passed the TAKE IT DOWN Act to crack down on online exploitation of Americans without their consent & protect innocent victims from this nightmare." She expressed pride in voting in favor of the bill, which is now pending presidential approval, and vowed continued advocacy against online exploitation.

Later that day, Kim expressed her enthusiasm for community engagement through a tweet, which read: "We Love Yorba Linda! Glad to join volunteers & officials over the weekend to help make our @YorbaLindaCity community a better place." This post highlights her participation in communal efforts, demonstrating her commitment to her constituents in Yorba Linda.

Furthermore, she shared details of her role as Chairwoman of the East Asia & Pacific Subcommittee, and a member of the Committee on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). In her post, she noted, "As @HouseForeignGOP East Asia & Pacific Subcommittee Chairwoman & a member of @committeeonccp, I appreciated Central Tibetan Administration Sikyong Penpa Tsering stopping by my DC office to discuss U.S.-Tibet relations." This interaction underscores her active involvement in discussions concerning international relations, particularly with Tibet.

Kim, a University of Southern California alumna, replaced Gil Cisneros in Congress and has been residing in La Habra. Her career also includes a tenure in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016.
