Young Kim, serving in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 40th district, shared reflections on historical events, policy discussions, and the celebration of Easter in a series of tweets.

On April 19, 2025, Kim commemorated the Battles of Lexington and Concord, marking the beginning of the American Revolution on April 19, 1775. She emphasized the significance of the event and reflected on the nation’s progress with a tribute to the bravery of soldiers. Later the same day, Kim tweeted about her recent engagement with Southern Californians in the building and construction trades during their visit to Washington, D.C., for the North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) conference. Kim began representing California's 40th district in Congress in 2021, after replacing Gil Cisneros, and has previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016. She is an alumna of the University of Southern California and resides in La Habra.
