Young Kim engages with community in diverse capacities, from federal support to health empowerment

Young Kim, currently serving as a representative for California's 40th District in the U.S. Congress, took to social media to share her recent activities and engagements. Her posts cover a range of topics, including community service, professional recognition, and healthcare integration.

On April 16, 2025, Young Kim announced that her team would be hosting Mobile Office Hours at the Laguna Woods Library. During this event, constituents could seek assistance with federal casework. She expressed enthusiasm, stating, "My team is excited to serve you."

In a subsequent post on April 16, 2025, Young Kim shared her honor at participating in an event celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Korean Prosecutors Association. She recognized the diligence of those within the community committed to upholding the law, stating, "Honored to join in celebrating the 15th anniversary of the Korean Prosecutors Association & recognizing the hard work of community members to uphold the law & hold violators accountable."

On April 17, 2025, Kim highlighted her visit to the Families Together of OC Clinic in Tustin, which offers integrated healthcare services including medical, dental, vision, behavioral health, and specialty care. She praised the clinic’s approach to empowerment and barrier removal in healthcare access, expressing her gratitude for the tour and educational opportunity, "I appreciated the tour & learning more about their work."

Young Kim, age 60, was born in Incheon, South Korea, and resides in La Habra. She holds a BBA from the University of Southern California, completed in 1985. Prior to joining Congress in 2021, Kim served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016, succeeding Gil Cisneros in representing the 40th District.
