Young Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 40th district, often shares updates on her activities and community engagements through social media. On April 15, 2025, Young Kim expressed gratitude towards Dr. Thomas Parham, President of California State University, Dominguez Hills, for meeting with her. She thanked Dr. Parham for updating her on the university's efforts to support Southern California students.

Young Kim has been serving in Congress since 2021 after replacing former member Gil Cisneros. Born in South Korea in 1962 and now residing in La Habra, she holds a Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California.
