Young Kim posts updates on art competition and U.S.-Greece relations

Young Kim, a U.S. Congresswoman serving California's 40th district since 2021, recently shared several updates on her Twitter feed. The posts touched on celebrating the U.S. Air Force Reserve's anniversary, encouraging participation in an art competition, and fostering international relations.

On April 14, 2025, Young Kim expressed her appreciation for the U.S. Air Force Reserve, celebrating its 77th anniversary. She stated, "Happy Birthday to our @USAFReserve! Grateful for the men & women who have been #ReserveReady to fly, fight, & win in our skies over the last 77 years."

Later that day, Young Kim promoted a local opportunity for young artists. In a tweet, she reminded followers that "Today’s the final day to enter our CA-40 Congressional Art Competition for the chance to have your art displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year." Details on how to participate were included in the post.

In another tweet from April 14, 2025, Kim provided insights into her diplomatic engagement. She shared that she had a "Productive meeting with @GreeceInUSA Ambassador Ekaterini Nassika last week to discuss Southern California's Greek American community & strengthening U.S.-Greece relations." Kim also conveyed her enthusiasm for future collaboration.

Young Kim, a 60-year-old congresswoman born in Incheon, South Korea, has a background that includes serving in the California State Assembly and earning a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Southern California in 1985. At present, she resides in La Habra.
