Young Kim, a current member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 40th district, made a series of statements on April 9, 2025, addressing various issues of public concern through her social media. Her posts covered topics including educational fraud, the fentanyl crisis, and National Former POW Recognition Day.

In a post from April 9, 2025, Young Kim expressed her concern about a large-scale fraud in the education sector. She questioned the prolonged nature of the issue and highlighted the lack of oversight that contributed to it. Kim emphasized the importance of accountability, stating, "How can this happen & go on this long? The lack of oversight — contributing to this scale of fraud — is inexcusable. Those responsible for scamming millions in aid & depriving real students of an education must be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law."

Later on the same day, Kim commended the actions of government officials regarding the fentanyl crisis. In her post, she stated her eagerness to collaborate with others in addressing the issue, "I’m pleased to see @SecScottBessent & the Trump administration take the fentanyl crisis seriously. As a member of the @FinancialCmte National Security Subcommittee, I look forward to working together to cut the flow of these deadly drugs & save innocent American lives."

Finally, recognizing National Former POW Recognition Day, Kim reflected on the contribution of service members. She expressed gratitude towards those who served and their families, acknowledging their sacrifices as the foundation of American freedoms. "National Former POW Recognition Day, we remember those brave service members who were held captive and returned. We can enjoy our everyday freedoms because of the service and sacrifice of those who have answered the call to serve and their families."
