On April 8, 2025, an inmate held at the Intake Release Center in Santa Ana died. The inmate, aged 42, had been booked by the Anaheim Police Department on April 7, 2025, for a parole violation under PC 3056. The name of the deceased is being withheld until the Orange County Coroner's Division notifies the next of kin.

The inmate was discovered unresponsive and alone in his cell within Module J on April 8, 2025. Deputies and correctional medical staff made efforts to revive him. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. An independent autopsy and toxicology will determine the final cause of death.
