Young Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California’s 40th district, shared updates on a series of national and international matters through her Twitter account on April 1 and April 2, 2025. Her posts touched on topics from national security hearings to international alliances and the importance of U.S. media outreach programs.

On April 1, 2025, Kim posted regarding a hearing by the House Foreign Affairs Committee aimed at addressing the "Iran regime’s malign influence" and ensuring the security of the United States. She invited the public to tune in, underscoring the significance of the event: "Looking forward to today’s @HouseForeignGOP hearing on countering the Iran regime’s malign influence & protecting America’s national security."

Later that day, she acknowledged a meeting with Estonian Parliament National Defense Committee Chairman Kalev Stoicescu. In her tweet, Kim highlighted the discussion on the U.S.-Estonia alliance and Estonia's defense spending initiatives, recognizing the strategic importance of their relationship in the Baltic region. Kim expressed her appreciation for these efforts: "I appreciate Estonian Parliament National Defense Committee Chairman Kalev Stoicescu stopping by to discuss the U.S.-Estonia alliance, Estonia’s role as a reliable NATO ally in the strategic Baltic region, and Estonia’s efforts to increase defense spending."

On April 2, 2025, Kim took to Twitter to underscore the role of United States Agency for Global Media (USAGM) platforms, such as Radio Free Asia, in maintaining the U.S.'s influence on a global scale while countering disinformation from authoritarian regimes. Her message suggested that restricting these media resources would inadvertently benefit China's leader, Xi Jinping: "USAGM platforms like Radio Free Asia help the United States lead in the free world & counter dictators’ disinformation. Silencing our voice plays right into Xi Jinping's hands."
