In recent tweets, Representative Young Kim of California celebrated local achievements and underscored her commitment to her constituents. Kim serves in the U.S. Congress representing California’s 40th district and replaced Gil Cisneros in 2021. She has been active in public service, having also served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016.
On March 31, 2025, Young Kim extended her congratulations to a local student, Sydney Tran, from El Rancho Charter School. She remarked, "Huge congratulations to El Rancho Charter School 7th grade student Sydney Tran for spelling her way to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, DC in May. Your victory was well-deserved, and our Orange County community is so proud!"

I'm working as Financial Literacy & Wealth Creation Caucus co-chair to protect the American Dream."
