Young Kim highlights senior support and tech advancement initiatives

Young Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 40th district, has recently shared her engagements and initiatives through social media posts. Her focus spans from senior citizens' welfare to technological advancements and public safety.

On March 19, 2025, Young Kim emphasized her commitment to supporting senior citizens by engaging with local seniors’ organizations and community leaders. She stated in a tweet that she will "continue to fight to protect & strengthen Social Security, Medicare, & Medicaid programs they have paid their way…" "Great conversation with local seniors’ organizations & community leaders on ensuring that our seniors have the stability, support, & care that they deserve."

Later on March 20, 2025, Kim participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Cityside Fiber in Mission Viejo. She noted the company's role in providing high-speed internet services using fiber optic cables. "Team Young joined in a ribbon cutting celebration for Cityside Fiber in Mission Viejo! Cityside Fiber installs and provides high speed internet services using fiber optic cables."

On the same day, Kim also conducted a public safety roundtable with officials from various sheriff departments to discuss strategies against fentanyl spread and crime by South American Theft Groups. She expressed her intent to ensure law enforcement has necessary resources. "I had a public safety roundtable with officials from @OCSheriff, @OCSDYorbaLinda, @OCSDAlisoViejo, @OCSDMissionV, & @sbcountysheriff to discuss how I can help ensure they have the tools they need to stop the spread of fentanyl & combat crime from South American Theft Groups."
