Young Kim, a U.S. Congresswoman representing California's 40th district, has been vocal on various issues through her recent social media posts. Kim, who succeeded Gil Cisneros in 2021 and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016, is actively engaging with her constituents and addressing national concerns.

On March 16, 2025, Young Kim expressed concern over the potential reduction of USAGM platforms like VOA and RFA. She stated that "Gutting USAGM platforms — particularly VOA & RFA — silences the voices of freedom-loving people oppressed by the Chinese Communist Party, North Korea, Russia & other authoritarian regimes dating back to the Soviet Union." She emphasized these outlets as crucial sources of uncensored information.

Later that day, she thanked local officials for their visit to her office in Washington D.C., saying "Thanks to the @BreaCityHall City Council for stopping by my DC office this week to discuss their priorities this year." Kim reiterated her commitment to working together for Brea's prosperity and safety.

On March 17, 2025, Kim discussed healthcare access during an appearance on ThisDay Laguna Woods. She noted "Great to start off the day on ThisDay Laguna Woods to discuss the importance of protecting access to Social Security & Medicare." Her focus was on safeguarding essential services for seniors and vulnerable populations in Laguna Woods.
