Young Kim, a U.S. Congress member representing California's 40th district, shared her perspectives on recent legislative and historical events through a series of tweets. Kim, who has been serving in Congress since 2021 after replacing Gil Cisneros, also has a background in the California State Assembly and holds a BBA from the University of Southern California.

"The House passed a bill with bipartisan support to keep the government open."

Later that day, Kim commemorated the establishment of the U.S. Army’s K9 Corps in 1942. She expressed gratitude for these service animals that have worked alongside military personnel over the years to safeguard national freedoms. "The @USArmy’s K9 Corps was established #OTD in 1942."

She mentioned her efforts within the Financial Committee to reverse such regulations. "The Biden-Harris CFPB implemented a rule that will limit overdraft protection..."
