U.S. Representative Young Kim has joined the Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) to break ground on the State Route 91 (SR-91) Improvement Project in Anaheim, California. The project aims to address the transportation needs of Orange County by improving one of the nation's busiest corridors.

Rep. Kim played a key role in securing funding for this initiative. "The SR-91 corridor is one of the busiest in the country and is critical for families to reach work and school, businesses to thrive, goods to be traded, and communities to stay connected," she stated. She expressed pride in having secured federal resources for the project and emphasized her commitment to supporting her community.

Doug Chaffee, OCTA Chairman and Orange County’s Fourth District Supervisor, highlighted the importance of these improvements. “These improvements to SR-91 are essential to supporting the growing and evolving transportation needs of Orange County residents, commuters, and businesses,” he said. He noted that the project would help reduce traffic bottlenecks and improve travel times for thousands of daily drivers.

OCTA CEO Darrell E. Johnson described the SR-91 Improvement Project as part of OCTA's mission to provide a balanced and sustainable transportation network. “We appreciate the community’s patience as we work toward delivering much-needed traffic relief and long-term mobility solutions,” he added.
