Young Kim, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 40th district, shared several updates on social media recently. The congresswoman, who replaced Gil Cisneros in 2021 and previously served in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016, discussed various community engagements and issues of concern.

On March 9, 2025, Kim expressed her enthusiasm after meeting with local realtors from CA-40. She highlighted discussions on housing affordability and homeownership opportunities within the community. Kim noted her anticipation to work collaboratively on these matters, stating: "Great meeting with local realtors in town from CA-40 to discuss housing affordability, homeownership opportunities, and the future of real estate in our communities. Looking forward to working together on solutions!"

Later that day, she addressed an incident involving hate against a religious community. On March 9, 2025, Kim voiced her support for those affected by a hateful act in Chino Hills. She stated: "Absolutely horrific. Hate has no place in our society, and Americans should always feel safe in their place of worship. I stand with our friends in Chino Hills and the greater @bapslosangeles community."

On March 10, 2025, Kim engaged with veterans' representatives from Saddleback College Veterans Education & Transition Services. She shared her legislative efforts to assist veterans through initiatives like the Combat Veterans Pre-Enrollment Act. In her words: "The Saddleback College Veterans Education & Transition Services stopped by to share their stories & discuss my work in Congress to uplift our veterans, including my Combat Veterans Pre-Enrollment Act that allows veterans to pre-enroll in VA care. Grateful for all that you do!"
