Young Kim discusses international relations and veteran support initiatives

Young Kim, a member of the U.S. Congress representing California's 40th district, shared several updates through her social media platform. Her recent posts touch on topics ranging from daylight savings to international diplomacy and veteran affairs.

On March 8, 2025, Young Kim reminded her followers about the upcoming change in time due to daylight savings. She posted: "Are you ready for daylight savings? Be sure to #SpringForward one hour for daylight savings starting at 2am local time tomorrow morning!"

Later that day, she expressed her honor in meeting Ambassador Delia Domingo-Albert, the former Philippines Secretary of Foreign Affairs. Kim discussed the Philippines' upcoming role as chair of ASEAN in 2026 and highlighted shared priorities during their meeting. Her post read: "This week, I was honored to meet Ambassador Delia Domingo-Albert, former Philippines Secretary of Foreign Affairs and the first woman foreign minister from Asia, to discuss the Philippines’ chairing of ASEAN 2026 and ways to advance shared priorities. #InternationalWomensDay"

In another update on March 9, 2025, Kim acknowledged a visit from leaders of Chapman University's Student Veterans Association. The discussion focused on supporting student veterans transitioning from military service to education and promoting her bipartisan bill aimed at pre-enrollment in VA healthcare benefits for veterans. She stated: "I appreciate @ChapmanU Student Veterans Association leaders stopping by to discuss how we can support student veterans as they transition from service to education & my bipartisan bill to allow veterans to pre-enroll in VA healthcare benefits."
