Congressman Darrell Issa, representing California's 48th Congressional District, has successfully advanced two legislative bills through the House Judiciary Committee. The bills, known as the No Rogue Rulings Act and the Judges Act of 2025, will now proceed to the full House of Representatives for consideration.

Issa, who is a senior member of the Judiciary Committee and chairs its Subcommittee on Intellectual Property, Artificial Intelligence, and the Courts, expressed concern over what he perceives as an issue within the federal judiciary. He stated: “We have a major malfunction in one part of our federal judiciary: Judges who abuse their power with nationwide injunctions that target President Trump to stop him from advancing the policies the American people elected him to carry out. As of today, these rogue rulings are put on notice and soon should come to an end.”

The bipartisan support received by both bills was highlighted by Issa following their approval. He remarked on the Judges Act: “Justice delayed is justice denied — and our current federal court backlog is denying our standard of justice every day. This proposal is fair, it does not advantage Republicans or Democrats, and that’s why it earned bipartisan support.”

Darrell Issa represents a district that includes parts of San Diego County and Riverside County in California. His previous roles include serving as Chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform from 2011 to 2015.
