On March 4, Kim expressed pride in Sydney Tran, a seventh-grade student from El Rancho Charter School in Orange County. She noted that Tran "spelled her way to represent OC in the National Spelling Bee." "Our community could not be more P-R-O-U-D of 7th grade student Sydney Tran from El Rancho Charter School in Orange who spelled her way to represent OC in the National Spelling Bee!"

Later that day, Kim highlighted her discussions with media outlets ahead of a joint address to Congress. The conversation focused on equipping first responders for wildfire safety. Kim mentioned meeting with @SpecNews1SoCal, @KTLA, and @FOXLA along with her guest Dan Munsey, San Bernardino County Fire Chief.
