U.S. Representative Young Kim from California's 40th District has announced that San Bernardino County Fire Chief Dan Munsey will be her guest at President Trump's joint address to Congress on March 4, 2025.
Chief Munsey is recognized for his and his team's dedication to community safety. They have been key collaborators on bipartisan legislation such as the Wildfire Technology Demonstration, Evaluation, Modernization, and Optimization (DEMO) Act, which aims to advance wildfire technologies, and the Restoring Our Unopened Trails for Enjoyment and Safety (ROUTES) Act, which focuses on restoring federal sites affected by natural disasters.
Rep. Young Kim stated, "Chief Munsey and his team run into harm’s way to keep us safe from wildfires, and his insight has been critical as I work in Congress to ensure our local first responders on the ground have the latest tools at their disposal to do their jobs." She added her pride in having him as her guest and expressed her commitment to working with him further to enhance public safety in San Bernardino County and Southern California.
