Young Kim, a U.S. Congresswoman representing California’s 40th district, has been active on social media, sharing her thoughts and activities through several tweets. Kim has served in the U.S. Congress since 2021 after replacing Gil Cisneros and has a background in the California State Assembly from 2014 to 2016.

On February 14, 2025, Young Kim addressed concerns regarding foreign spending and national security. She stated that "Unproductive spending abroad undermines the many targeted, effective foreign assistance programs that strengthen our national security." In a hearing with @HouseForeignGOP, she questioned how soft power could be leveraged to ensure American leadership against the CCP.

Later that day, Kim shared a personal message celebrating Valentine's Day with her husband Charles. She expressed gratitude by saying "Happy Valentine’s Day, Charles! Thank you for being the best husband, best friend and partner a girl can ask for."

On February 15, 2025, Young Kim acknowledged the efforts of various groups in making Valentines for Veterans successful this year. She extended her appreciation to veterans by tweeting "We appreciate all the groups who helped make Valentines for Veterans such a hit this year!" She also thanked veterans for their service and wished them a Happy Valentine’s Day.
