Young Kim discusses fentanyl act and local developments in recent tweets

Young Kim, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 40th district, shared a series of updates through her social media account. Her posts touched on issues ranging from drug trafficking to local business developments in her community.

On February 8, 2025, Young Kim highlighted a significant increase in drug-related incidents reported by the Orange County Sheriff's Department. She noted that "In 2024, the Orange County Sheriff’s Department found 2.06 million pills laced with fentanyl – a 204 percent increase from 2023." She also mentioned legislative measures taken to combat this issue: "The House passed the HALT Fentanyl Act to help law enforcement crack down on drug traffickers funneling fentanyl into our streets & schools."

On February 10, 2025, Kim announced infrastructure improvements in Lake Forest with an expansion by Cityside Fiber: "Cityside Fiber has expanded to Lake Forest to ensure access to high-speed, reliable Internet for our area. Team Young was glad to help welcome them to our community!"

Later that same day, she welcomed a new fitness establishment to Tustin: "Welcome to Tustin, Impowered Fitness! Team Young was glad to help celebrate the grand opening."
