Young Kim, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing California's 40th district, shared several updates on her official social media account recently. These updates highlighted her focus on regulatory reform, STEM education, and disaster recovery efforts.

On February 3, 2025, Young Kim expressed optimism about collaborating with Secretary Bessent to address various issues. She stated: "This is welcome news. I look forward to working with Secretary Bessent to cut regulatory costs, protect consumers, strengthen our economy, and preserve the American dream."

The following day, February 4, 2025, she highlighted an initiative aimed at fostering innovation among youth in Yorba Linda. In a post detailing her engagement with Drones4Kids, she remarked: "Drones4Kids in Yorba Linda is working to teach the next generation of innovators to pilot drones. I enjoyed meeting with their students in my Anaheim Hills office this week and will always be a loud voice for STEM education."

Later that day on February 4, Kim addressed the challenges faced by communities recovering from natural disasters. She mentioned her involvement in introducing legislation intended to assist disaster victims: "My community knows firsthand the struggle to recover in the aftermath of natural disasters. I helped introduce the bipartisan Housing Survivors of Major Disasters Act to help disaster victims pick up the pieces in the face of unthinkable tragedy."
