Young Kim, a U.S. Congress member representing California’s 40th district, recently shared several insights on pressing issues via social media. Known for her commitment to her constituents, Kim addressed topics ranging from disaster relief to immigration reform and military honors.

On January 22, Young Kim emphasized the urgency of providing aid in the wake of natural disasters. She stated, "Providing relief in the aftermath of a natural disaster isn’t a red or blue issue – it’s a life-or-death issue." As a representative of wildfire-prone areas, she affirmed her dedication to supporting first responders and securing disaster aid for Southern California communities.

Later that day, Kim expressed support for legislative measures addressing crime committed by illegal immigrants. She tweeted, "As a mom and grandma, hearing the horrific stories of Americans' lives taken by illegal immigrants is heartbreaking...I'm proud to vote for the bipartisan Laken Riley Act to ensure illegal immigrants who commit crimes are detained."

On January 23, Kim recognized the U.S. Navy's tribute to Major Megan McClung. She remarked, "Great to see @USNavy honor fallen hero and @MVHS_Diablos graduate @USMC Maj. Megan McClung..." McClung was notable as the first woman U.S. Marine killed during the Iraq War in 2006.
