Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) has called for immediate action following reports of illegal migrants attempting to stop and board school buses in rural East County, San Diego.

"I am deeply troubled by multiple news reports and eyewitness accounts of illegal migrants attempting to stop and board school buses carrying students in rural East County San Diego," said Issa.

He further described the incidents as "a repeated pattern of unidentified adults seeking to stop, board, or commandeer school buses."

Issa has urged law enforcement and education authorities to conduct an immediate investigation and develop a detailed plan to secure the safety of students in East County. He expressed appreciation for the Jamul School District's prompt response and pledged cooperation with federal and local authorities.

Issa also attributed this new threat to the safety of school children to the current administration's policies. "Finally, the truth is that this new threat to the safety of school children is the direct result of the intentional Biden-Harris open borders and all of the terrible consequences they have delivered upon the nation," he stated.
