Ramona – On August 24, Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-48) participated in the annual Ramona Rodeo, a celebration of the city’s Western heritage and rodeo culture.
Congressman Issa toured the festival grounds, engaged with event vendors, and discussed his efforts to protect and honor rodeo traditions with attendees.
“The Ramona Rodeo has an energy and excitement all its own, and Chris Anderson and the entire Ramona team demonstrated once again their uncommon ability to bring our community together and put on a great show. I am grateful to be their partner as we work to preserve this beloved tradition. This was not my first visit, and it won’t be my last,” said Issa.
Issa has been an advocate for rodeo, founding and chairing the Congressional Rodeo Caucus and introducing legislation that acknowledges the contributions of rodeo to communities, local economies, and Western culture preservation.
