Loyola Marymount University issued the following announcement.
Monday, December 21, 2020
Vice Provost for Global-Local Initiatives, Dr. Roberta Espinoza, is excited to announce a new initiative. Faculty seeking to add a significant global component or dimension to an existing course to be taught in Fall 2021 are invited to apply for the Global-Local Curriculum Fellows Program. The goal of the new initiative is to encourage and support global learning across LMU’s academic curriculum. The program offers faculty from all disciplines, schools, and colleges an opportunity to modify and reimagine their course content and teaching techniques to provide students enhanced opportunities to think internationally and locally. Faculty fellows will be required to meet four times during Spring 2021 (February-May on Fridays), including self-guided professional development modules, to explore intentional ways to globalize students’ classroom experiences to prepare them for success in today’s diverse and interconnected world. Applications that provide greater detail on all the fellowship requirements are due no later than Monday, Dec. 21 at 5 p.m. and those selected as Fellows will receive a $1,500 stipend. Questions can be directed to Roberta Espinoza, Vice Provost for Global-Local Initiatives, at Roberta.Espinoza@lmu.edu.
