Shooting in Stanton leaves one dead and another critically injured

On July 5, 2025, deputies responded to a shooting incident in Stanton, California. The event occurred shortly before 2 p.m. on the 11000 block of Court Street. According to several callers, two male juveniles were shot.

Upon arrival, deputies found the two victims with gunshot wounds. One victim, identified as Samuel Louie Vidal, a 15-year-old from San Bernardino, was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead. The other victim remains hospitalized in critical condition.

The investigation is being conducted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Detail.
