Former Santa Margarita Catholic High School standout Trevor Banning played as a reliever in the Santa Clara Broncos’ 5-4 NCAA Division I baseball victory over Utah Tech, held at noon on Sunday, March 15.
The matchup occurred at Stephen Schott Stadium and marked the teams’ third meeting this season. One day before, on Saturday, March 14, the Broncos defeated the Trailblazers 4-1.
Banning threw 2.1 innings, allowing one walk and achieving two strikeouts.
The Broncos are set to face the UConn Huskies at Stephen Schott Stadium on Wednesday, March 18, at 6 p.m.
