Sam Kowalski, a former San Clemente High School player, helped lead the Sacred Heart Pioneers to a 7-0 victory against the Siena Saints in their NCAA Division I softball contest at noon on Sunday, March 8.
The teams met at Pioneer Park for the third time this season. In their previous matchup on Saturday, March 7, Siena edged out Sacred Heart 2-1.
Kowalski pitched the complete game, allowing just one walk and striking out five batters over seven innings.
Sacred Heart will face Hofstra Pride next at Bill Edwards Stadium on Wednesday, March 11, with game time set for 2 p.m.
