Former San Clemente High School standout Sam Kowalski contributed to a 6-2 NCAA Division I softball victory for her current team, the Sacred Heart Pioneers, over the Canisius Golden Griffins at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 14.
Held at Pioneer Park, this marked the first time this season the teams faced each other.
Kowalski pitched seven innings, giving up two earned runs with six walks and seven strikeouts.
The Pioneers are set to play Canisius Golden Griffins again at Pioneer Park at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 14.
