On Sunday, March 1, at 2:30 p.m., former San Clemente High School player Sam Kowalski pitched six innings for the Sacred Heart Pioneers, who dropped a 2-1 decision to the UC Davis Aggies in their NCAA Division I softball game.
The contest took place at La Rue Field and marked the teams’ first meeting of the season.
Kowalski gave up one earned run, walked three, and struck out five in the game.
The Pioneers are set to play their next game on Tuesday, March 3, at 1:30 p.m. at Cottrell Softball Field against the Saint Mary’s Gaels.
