Four people have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a security guard outside a bar in unincorporated Anaheim, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

The incident occurred on June 22, 2025, just before 1 a.m., when deputies responded to reports of gunfire at the 8000 block of Katella Ave., near 99 Bottles & Cocktails. Upon arrival, they found Salvador Ramirez, a 48-year-old Fountain Valley resident who was working as a security guard at the establishment, suffering from a gunshot wound. Ramirez was transported to the hospital but later died from his injuries.

On August 13, investigators arrested four suspects in Los Angeles: David Anthony Ortega (44), Rene Jose Juarez Jr. (37), Max Maestas (54), and Robert Allen Duncan (43). All four are being held on suspicion of murder.
