The Cal Poly Mustangs, featuring former Laguna Beach High School standout Nick Bonn, were defeated by the USC Trojans 6-0 during their NCAA Division I baseball matchup at 6:05 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 27.
The contest was held at Baggett Stadium and marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. Cal Poly also lost their prior matchup against USC on Thursday, Feb. 26, with a score of 4-0.
Bonn pitched for three innings, tallying five strikeouts and one walk.
Cal Poly is set to play the Trojans again at Baggett Stadium on Saturday, Feb. 28.
