On Saturday, April 4, at 1:05 p.m., former Laguna Beach High School standout Nick Bonn pitched for the Cal Poly Mustangs in their NCAA Division I baseball game, which ended in a 12-4 loss to the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos.
The matchup was held at Baggett Stadium and marked the teams’ third meeting of the season. Each has now won one game in the season series.
Bonn gave up four earned runs over three innings, finishing with one walk and four strikeouts.
The Mustangs are set to face the San Jose State Spartans at Baggett Stadium on Tuesday, April 7.
